In the Mood

Wow!!  I guess I really decided to take a summer vacation!  To be perfectly honest I've not really had a desire to blog and I've been at a loss as to what to blog about but now that we are past Labor Day and the kids are back in school (mostly, I've had a sicko the last few days) I'm going to try my darndest to be more consistent in my blogging.  I'm even hoping to take on a challenge in October to blog EVERY day!  Whew!  We shall see!  I hope you all come a long.

The thing with blogging is that you really have to be in the mood for it.  It always seems to happen that I have tons of great ideas for what I want to write about when I'm not in front of the computer or when I don't have time to blog.  I have started writing them down in my phone so I can recall them.  Also, there's this thing called pregnancy that plays with your emotions and physical energy level.  There are days I am completely wiped out and no amount of desire can override the need for sleep.  I'm hoping this will get better with the cooler temperatures finally descending upon us and welcoming in FALL!!!!  Is anyone else as excited as I am?!?!?  I love this time of year!

Progress is being made around here, slowly but surely, so I have a few good posts lined up for the coming days.  But today I thought it would be fitting to show you one of my favorite finds and purchases from our trip to Europe this summer!  My husband actually found them and loved them!  Unfortunately we were in a hurry when we saw them and he wavered on whether they were the right thing to buy.  The guy never wants to buy anything so I pushed him to but he resisted.  Luck would have it that my mom and I found them a few weeks later on a shopping trip to the city of Brugge, Belgium and snatched them up for his upcoming birthday.  I'm so glad we did!!  They just make you smile.

They are called "Mood Bowls" and there were four different ones.

Aren't they the best!?!?

I especially like that I have a glass cabinet they sit in and I can look at them all day.  Makes me smile every time I see them looking out at me.  I hope you all have something in your house that makes you smile when you look at it.  I am such a believer in our homes being beautiful and happy places that bring us peace, comfort, and enjoyment.  Go find that thing in your house and tell me what it is.  Write it in the comments below, I'd love to hear what in your home makes you happy (besides the people of course, that is a given!)

Happy to be back!!
