The Art of Entertaining: Decor Ideas on Pinterest (November Challenge Day #21)

I truthfully don't know how we ever did it before Pinterest!!  I know some people get really overwhelmed by it and that is very understandable.  The key is to take others ideas and adapt what they have done to what you can and want to do.  It's important to remember that you can take elements of a design you like and still make a beautiful impression without feeling like you have to replicate it exactly.  The following are a few I have used in the past or hope to use at some point.  A lot of times you just have to wait for the right opportunity to use your ideas.

I have used this idea in the past.  It is so easy and so inexpensive.  I used canning jars I already had and cut some evergreen sprigs from a tree in my yard.  Instead of fake snow in the bottom I used small rocks from my yard and I added a little color with cranberries.  It looked awesome!

I also did this once for my napkins.  I ordered the cinnamon sticks on Amazon and then used evergreen from my yard and twine I already had.  Love!

A few years ago I did this for the centerpiece at Thanksgiving.  It wasn't hard, just a little time consuming and not super cheap, but it was a fun creative project.

I think this is such a cute idea - especially for a kids birthday party.  Who wouldn't love a glow in the dark themed party?  Think of all the possibilities!!  Definitely keeping it on the list for a future event.

This is beyond cute!!  I'd have to be throwing a pretty elaborate party to go to this extent, but there are elements you could use to create a much smaller scale version.  The crates, the pumpkins, the tree and the lights are all things you can find really easily.  The metal jack-o-lanterns would be a find and a commitment, but so cute!

I love this one because it is a "thinking outside the box" kind of decor.  I don't know if the source of this picture found these being sold as actual placemats, but you can most certainly find the exact same thing in the tile department of your local home improvement store.  I have bought a lot of this stuff for actual flooring lately, but I love this use for it as well.

This is one of my very first pins.  I just love the look of this and think it would be so fun for a wedding. It just brings happiness to my heart!

Beyond gorgeous!!  This would be such a lovely backdrop for a wedding in the woods - or on the edge of the woods perhaps even paired with the umbrellas above.  A simpler version would be nice for an outdoor party in the fall as well.  Perhaps I will do it some year at my fall party.

I hope this inspired you friends!!  The possibilities are endless in what you can do in terms of decor.  That's why I love it so much.  I hope you have a fabulous Saturday!!
